Warm and Dandy Tea

Dandelion is a very healthy tea. It can aid in weight loss, promote liver health, flush the kidneys, and help prevent urinary tract infections. But the beneficial compounds in dandelion root extract very slowly into tea. So we have developed a special dandelion root blend that gets tastier the longer it brews. Let it sit 15 minutes or more – even overnight! And you’ll be rewarded by a rich, warm and healthy treat.

Tasting notes: The initial warmth of the cinnamon hits the taste buds first. This is followed by the richness of the carob and coconut. The flavor profile is rounded out by the subtle earthiness of the dandelion root.

How to make tea: There’s no wrong way to brew a great cup of tea. Whether using a reusable tea bag, a tea pot, or even a drip coffee maker, the results will be delicious. The amount of time to steep the tea is a matter of personal preference. The aromatic, fruity, and floral elements usually extract first, while more earthy, astringent and medicinal elements take longer. To get a nice balance, we recommend brewing each cup for 3 to 5 minutes for flavor, and 8 to 10 minutes or longer for medicinal benefits.

Recommended brewing instructions: Place two teaspoons of tea in a container (or use a tea ball). Pour one cup of boiling water over the tea and let it sit for 10-15 minutes or longer. This tea gets tastier the longer it brews. When brewing is complete, pour the tea into a cup using a strainer or pour off just the liquid leaving the herbs behind.
