Lemony Spearmint

We wanted a tea that could be used for keeping hydrated in the hot desert. We developed Lemony Spearmint for that. It is delicious hot, but we make a large pitcher in the morning and enjoy refreshing glass whenever we feel thirsty throughout the day. This tea can be sweetened, but we find it delicious all by itself.

Tasting notes: The sweet lemon flavor of the verbena is the backbone of this blend. The subtle spearmint finish balances out the lemon flavor nicely. A very refreshing tea.

Ingredients: Lemon verbena, Spearmint.

How to make tea: There’s no wrong way to brew a great cup of tea. Whether using a reusable tea bag, a tea pot, or even a drip coffee maker, the results will be delicious. The amount of time to steep the tea is a matter of personal preference. The aromatic, fruity, and floral elements usually extract first, while more earthy, astringent and medicinal elements take longer.

Recommended brewing instructions: Place two teaspoons of tea in a container (or use a tea ball). Pour one cup of boiling water over the tea and let it sit for 3-5 minutes. Pour the tea into a cup using a strainer or pour off just the liquid leaving the herbs behind.
